Mumbai, 24 June 2010: Showcasing its strength in leveraging Next-Gen technology for simpler, on-the-move connectivity solutions, Olive Telecommunication, a leading Convergence Solutions Device Developer, today launched two innovative, futuristic and cutting-edge convergence devices under the Olive Convergence brand portfolio. The new products include the Olive Nexus V-R9, a travel router in-built with Lithium Ion battery, and Olive Genie V-ME150, a multi-purpose modem with a compact design.
As part of its launch initiative, the company also announced a strategic alliance with Tata Teleservices Limited, wherein the Olive Genie would be made available under the TTSL brand portfolio across all its outlets in the country. In the past, Olive Telecom has launched the country’s first-ever high-speed broadband access Zipbook with TTSL.

Earlier this year, Olive Convergence had launched the Netbook, offering mobile broadband access, and a wide range of mobile phones starting at Rs 999. These include OliveFrvrOn, India’s first dual-power hybrid phone; OliveWIZ, India’s first triple-sim QWERTY keypad phone; two touch-screen phones, OlivePWRR and OliveTouch; OliveMSGR, a QWERTY-keypad phone; two candy bar phones, OliveCompacta and OliveGLIDE; and two dual-sim, dual-stand-by phones, V-G400 (Clamshell) and V-G500 (Slider).
The new Olive Convergence portfolio encompasses WCDMA, CDMA, GSM and mobile broadband access handsets and Smartphones, mobile computing devices and advanced data modems for wireless broadband.
